Minimal change disease: cause

A
  • Unknown; T cells release cytokines -> causes effacement of podocytes

More common in children, after infection, immunization, after taking NSAIDs

  • Proteinuria
    Rapid onset of symptoms compared to others

Complication: relatively benign -> does not affect kidney function
