Q

Rickettsia prowazekii?

A

Epidemic typhus. Lice transmit the bacteria, which explains why this little basterd is seen in situations with poor sanitary conditions, e.g. wars. The rickettsia invade endothelial cells and may produce clots and the consequences that follows.
