dilates bronchial smooth muscle
Albuterol Sulfate Indications
bronchospasm caused by asthma or COPD, pulse less than 130 beats/minutes
Albuterol Sulfate Onset/duration
5-15 minutes/2-6 hours
Albuterol Sulfate Side Effects
Dizziness, headache, palpitations, chest pain, anxiety, rapid pulse

Albuterol Sulfate Contraindications
hypersensitivity to the drugs or its contents
Albuterol Sulfate Dose
- Nebulizer with oxygen aerolsization - 2.5 mg/3ml over 5-10 minutes via nebulizer with 8-10 Ipm oxygen
- Metered dose inhaler - 1 to 2 inhalations
Albuterol Sulfate is supplied via
unit dose plastic vial

monitor heart rate closely

Inhibits blood clotting action and platelet aggregation
Aspirin Indications
chest discomfort suggestive of acute coronary syndrome

nausea, vomiting, heartburn, dizziness, tinnitus, bronchospasm, GI bleeding
Aspirin Route
orally
Aspirin Contraindications
male less than 25 years old, female less than 35 years
Aspirin Dose
324 mg (4 tablets)
Aspirin is supplied via
81 mg chewable tablets
Aspirin Special Considerations
use with caution if patient had recent surgery since aspirin can promote bleeding at the surgical site
