The media has changed the way we behave. Habits, such as consumerism, listening to music, or even eating food, have all been influenced by the media!

Media consumers have much more power over what they use, watch and listen too; there is also much more power for consumers to dictate where this takes place, such as in the home or in public!

Viewers are no longer constrained by limited TV schedules and radio broadcast times. They are able to use ‘catch-up’ services as and when they require them!

New Media users are no longer passive receivers of entertainment, knowledge etc. They are active participants in their own media consumerism and may even choose to create media content!
