A
Cerebral edema, increased ICP, rhabdomyolysis, blood transfusion reactions

A
Hypotension, pulmonary edema, severe dehydration, CHF, active intracranial bleed

A
May precipitate digitalis toxicity

H/A, confusion, seizures, pulmonary edema, tachycardia, CP, CHF, hypotension, N/V, dehydration

Dose and Administration
A
0.5-1.0g/kg IVP over 5-10 minutes
Infusion of 0.25-2g/kg over 4-6 hours prn
