Q
Making insoluble salt / precipitation reaction method
A
- Add1 spatula of soluble salt (lead nitrate) to test tube + add water to dissolve it ( use deoinsed water so no unwanted ions affect results)
- Shake thoroughly - all dissolved
- Repeat with other soluble salt (magnesium suldate)
- Tip the 2 solutions into small beaker and stir to make sure all mixed
- filter out the precipitate(lead sulfate) that forms into conical flask
- swill out beaker with more deoinised water and tip into filter paper - to get all precipitate from beaker
- rinse cotent of filter paper with distilled water to make sure all soluble magnesium nitrate has been washed away
- Leave in an oven / on radiator to dry
8
Q
Precipitate -
A
An insoluble solid produced from 2 aqueous solution (soluble)
9
Q

A
react soluble salt + soluble salt
