Q

step by process of how to make esters between alcohols and carboxylic acids

A
  1. add few drops of concentrated sulfuric acids to a boiling tube using a dropping pipette
  2. Add about 10 drops of **ethanoic acid*
3 Add equal volume of ethanol
  3. Place boiling tube in a beaker of water and place on a tripod
  4. Heat using a Bunsen Burner until water starts to boil, then turn off
  5. After 1 minute, remove the tuband allow it to cool
  6. once cool, pout mixture into a test tube of sodium carbonate solution + mix
