At the formation of the Right Brachiocephalic vein by the joining of the Left internal Jugular vein and the Right Subclavian vein
Where does the Thoracic Duct enter venous circulation?
At the formation of the Left Brachiocephalic Vein by the joining of the Left Internal Jugular vein and the Left Subclavian vein
Where is the watershed line located?
At the level of the Umbilicus
What Lymph nodes does the Thoracic Duct receive?
- Left Axillary Lymph Nodes
2. Right and Left Inguinal Lymph Nodes
What Lymph nodes does the Right Lymphatic Duct receive?
Right Axillary Lymph Nodes
Cisterna Chyli
- Dilated sac at the lower end of the Thoracic Duct that receives lymph from the intestinal trunk and 2 lumbar lymphatic trunks
- Receives fatty chyle from the intestines and thus acts as a conduit for the lipid products of digestion
