Phase I - Water Pressure Alert Procedures
A
- Starting at 1000 hours EACH UNIT shall take and record the pressure on hydrant nearest to quarters EVERY HOUR until 2200 hours
- Within 1 hour of Phase I announcement, BC survey district for illegally opened hydrants (BC may schedule units to assist in survey)

Phase II - Water Pressure Emergency Procedures
A
- Starting at 1000 hours EACH UNIT shall take and record the pressure on hydrant nearest to quarters EVERY HOUR until 2200 hours
- Units patrol district as per schedule established by DC
- Upon completion of patrol Officer on Duty will fax to the Battalion:
- # of illegally opened hydrants
- # shutdown
- # of spray caps placed
- Any areas experiencing dangerously low water pressures

General Water Pressure Readings
A
- The first full week of May each year, ALL ENGINE and SQUAD companies shall obtain pressure readings from the hydrant nearest quarters
- Readings for each day, Sunday thru Saturday will be take at 1000 Hours, 1300 Hours, 1600 Hours, 1900 Hours, 2200 Hours
- Pressures recorded on “Hydrant Pressure Chart” (CD-65) to be posted at Housewatch desk throughout the summer season
