Air Support Plan communications
A
- BC in the helicopter is the Air Recon Chief (ARC)
- Primary command is via helicopter radio (25 watts)
- FDNY HT is used only as backup
- CAN NOT operate Post Radio in helicopter

A
- Doubtful 3rd Alarms for 10-76/10-77
- FD Dispatcher notifies PD Operations

Air Rescue Plan - ASSEMBLE
A
-IC at fire gives the order to Assemble GENERALLY FOR: -Fire above 10th floor -Fire that has possession of 2 floor -Interior access above fire is blocked -Access to roof only from exterior -HRRC and (2) HRRT's will assemble

Air Rescue Plan - AIRLIFT
A
- Only Staff Chief may order an Airlift
- HRRC will switch to TAC “U” and ensures that HRRT does the same
- IC will have TAC “U” and Command channel monitored at fire
- ESU in 1st airlift will determine feasibility of roof landing
- (2) Airlifts for HRRC and HRRT
- 1st - HRRC, Officer, FE Team
- 2nd - Chauffeur, OV, Roof

Airlift Safety
A
- FD members must wear personal harness/LS Belt in helicopters
- Board/Leave on direction of Pilot, Co-Pilot, Crew Chief, or ESU
- Board from the front/field of vision of Pilot
- NEVER go near the tail section
- Semi-crouch/single file/DO NOT RUN
- Carry Masks & HRRK in tool bags
- One member enters helicopter & stows HRRK as directed by the Crew Chief
- Crew Chief or Pilots designates riding position
