Drivers and helpers are expected to come to work well rested, alert, able to perform their job duties safely
Things that can effect: fatigue, cold/flue, injury, anger, distress
Must notify if unable to perform duties immediately. Managers must be aware of physical and emotional condition of drivers and helpers
Managers must take action to resolve situation if they feel driver or helper is not prepared

Drivers and helpers must punch in at a time clock. No employee can punch for another employee

Safety Meetings

Hold safety meetings to keep EEs up to date on safe practices. Meetings include: conducting training, discussing safety advisories, discussing safety alerts
All EEs must attend and participate

Must also be available for inspection at all times
Keep updated: Registration, tags, proof of insurance paperwork, vehicle inspection sticker, hauling/fuel/solid waste permits
Managers must be informed if anything is missing or close to expiration

Driver is responsible for collecting route cover sheet and any other customer related paperwork. Cover sheet should be reviewed before starting day to note changes or last minute instructions
