- > 1n gametophyte that provides food (endosperm)
- > protective seed coating on the outside

A
- > immature male gametophytes
- > product of meiosis
- > lots of variety } helps with identification
- > produces sperm ones it is the inside ovule
- > transported via wind or pollinator

A
both 1n and 2n parts
- > archegonium contains unfertilized egg
- > Pollen must fall into the chamber, grow pollen tube to inject its nucleus into the egg to fertilize it
