What is an antigen?
Substance that stimulates the body’s immune system
What is an anticoagulant?
Substance that hinders blood clotting
What is atrophic rhinitis?
Wasting away of mucous membranes or glands

an infection caused by brucella bacteria
What is Canine Distemper?
Viral disease of dogs, marked by fever and respiratory problems
What is Canine Parvovirus?
Virus that causes a deadly disease in dogs

Chronic disorder of the heart
What is cortisone?
Anti-inflammatory hormone
What is the difference between diabetes mellitus and diabetes insipitus?
DM=caused by inadequate supply of insulin. DI= Caused by pituitary disorder and leads to kidney disease
What is a dissociative aent?
Anesthetic that chemically separates out perceptions of pain
What is endogenous?
Originating from within the organism
Enzootic pneumonia
Infection of the lungs found in specific kinds of animals
What is epiphysis?
Part of bone where growth occurs; often a breakage site in young animals
What is exogenous?
Originating from outside the organism
