Q
A
  1. In their chart and on their door
  2. Routine practices risk assessment
Gloves, hand hygiene, mask, eye protection, gown

Q
A
  1. Routine risk assessment and make sure to look at additional precautions
  2. Droplet precautions (mask and eye protection), gloves
  3. Need to use appropriate precautions to get these patients up and out of their rooms (they don’t have to stay in their rooms at all times). Proper hand hygiene.
26
Q
A
  1. Gloves and gown (contain the feces)
  2. Dedicated commode for the bathroom
  3. Slings are single use for patients, need to make sure sling is not soiled after each use and if so needs to be laundered, can have dedicated lift for their room (advocate for a room with a ceiling lift), if cant have dedicated lift then use appropriate cleaning protocols for the lift
