Individual differences in job satisfaction
A
- Consistency across jobs: certain types of people will generally be more satisfied
- Consistency across time
- Relationship job satisfaction and life satisfaction: happy in you life, means happy in you job

- are peope who have a good self-esteem
- have the feeling that they can reach goals (self-efficacy)
- have an internal locus of control (responsible for own changes)
- are optimistic/ have positive affectivity

A
Adding tasks to an existing job (horizontal movement)

A
Adding a new layer to the job (vertical movement)

Counterproductive workplace behaviour (CWB)
A
All behaviours that go against the organisational goals and are harming for the organisation

Examples of CWB
A
- Interpersonal deviance (aggression, bullying, gossiping)
- Organisational deviance
–> Property deviance (theft, sabotage)
–> Production deviance (working poorly)
–> Work withdrawal (absenteeism and turnover)

Psychological contract
A
A set of implicit or explicit agreements between two parties, based on prior experience, expectations and promises

Psychological contract breach
A
Unmet promises can lead to employee dissatisfaction and CWB to set the balance straight (equity theory)
