Learner characteristics
These include motivation, learning style, learning strategies, maturity and past language experience.
Learning styles
Some of them are: visual, auditory, kinaesthetic (learn best through being physical, while moving or touching), group, individual, reflective, impulsive, analytic and autonomous.
Learning strategies
These ones are the ways that learners choose and use to learn language. E.g. repeating new words; taking risks; paraphrasing.
Maturity
It involves becoming grown up physically, metally and emotionally.
Children characteristics
Necesity to move; short attention spam; learning through experience and doing; not totally cocious of their behaviour; not ashamed of mistakes; attention to meaning; limited experience; developing cognitive skills and motivation is granted.
Teenager characteristics
Medium necesity to move; medioum attention spam; beggining to learn in an abstract way; beggining to control their behaviour; worried about being judge; more or less aware of themselves; attention to meaning and incresingly to form; medium life experience; cognitive skills developed (15y); motivation varies.
Adult characteristics
Able to keep still for longer periods; longer attention spam; can learn in an abstract way; usually able to control his behaviour; not totally willing to make mistakes; awere of their acctions; can pay attention to form and meaning; with experience; developed cognitive skills; motivation often is conscious.
