What are the 3 phases of emergency?
- Uncertainty
- Alert
- Distress
Define the uncertainty phase
A situation wherein uncertainty exists as to the safety of an aircraft and its occupants.
Define the alert phase
A situation wherein apprehension exists as to the safety of an aircraft and its occupants.
Define the distress phase
A situation wherein there is a reasonable certainty that an aircraft and its occupants are threatened by grave and imminent danger or require immediate assistance.
What lights will an a/c taxiing or being towed show during the day?
Anti-collision lights.
What lights should and an a/c always display during flight during the day?
Anti-collision lights.
What lights should and an a/c always display during flight during the night?
Anti-collision lights and navigation lights. No other lights will be shown which could be confused for these.
