What is an AI?
A attitude indicator is a gyroscope indicate that shows pitch and angle of bank. Helps pilots to fly without external reference.
What is an ASI?
An airspeed indicator shows in indicated airspace in knots, measured by the pitot tube. They have different colour bands to represent things like the speed at which the flaps can be deployed.
What is an alt?
An altimeter provides the pilot withe height information in feet. Compares the static pressure to the QNH/QFE.
What is the VSI?
The vertical speed indicator displays the rate of climb or decent. It is measured using static pressure.
What is the turn and slip indicator?
The turn indicator is a gyroscopic instrument and the slip indicator is an incomplete. Together they show the rate and direction of turn.
What is the direction indicator>
A gyroscopic indicator that shows the heading of an a/c and doesn’t suffer the same errors as a compass.
What is limited/partial flying?
Flying without an attitude indicator and/or a direction indicator.
