Application/Implementation
How individuals apply new insights in the real world and manage knowledge on a day to day basis
Integration

Inspiration
(Organizational, Informal) Use curation at the business level to collect, transform, and share resources centrally
Information as a trigger or hook to inspire action or deeper involvement within the workforce
Instructional
(Organizational, Formal) Use curation, collecting, and remixing existing content to form the basis of developing new courses.
Blending outside resources with a selection of resources from within the firewall can decrease the time to delivery and cut costs dramatically for learning and development.
Implementation
(Personal, Informal) Individuals are starting to use curation techniques in the process of their daily work through personal knowledge management.
Many already do this through blogs, tweets, and other collections of knowledge that are shared with the world. This content seeds the stores that we curate from.
It is not advised to force people to share, but policies can be established that encourage people to share for themselves.
Integration
(Personal, Formal) Allow learners to become curators during the learning process; ask them to reflect on and demonstrate how they are going to apply these insights on the job, link new knowledge to existing knowledge and experiences, etc.

How to support curation? (2)
Evaluate instructional and learning elements from various sources to support needs in the broader knowledge system.
Assess learning content, both internal and external to the organization, against the knowledge map to determine where there is an appropriate application.
