What is oligoarthritis?
4 of fewer joints affected
Usually medium sized joints e.g. knee, ankle, elbow
What is polyarticuar JIA?
5 or more joints

What is enthesitis related JIA similar to?
Ankylosing spondylitis
What is systemic JIA?
Still’s disease
What are the features of systemic JIA aka Still’s?
Fever Salmon pink rash Lymphadenopathy Uveitis Anorexia and weight loss Hepatosplenomegaly
What investigations are done for JIA?

What are the management principles of JIA?
Lifestyle
Physio
Pharm
What are the pharm management options of JIA?
NSAIDs ORal steroids Intra-articular steroids DMARDs- methotrexate= 1st Biologics if DMARDs fail
What are the complications of JIA?
Poor growth Localised growth disturbance COntractures Micrognathia- undersized jaw Uveitis
What is uveitis associated with?
ANA + and <5yos
What are the features of uveitis?
Red eyes, headaches, poor vision
What is the management of uveitis?
Topical steroids
Severe= oral steroids
Poor response- disease modifying and biologics
