pt. counseling for isotretinoin
A
- avoid in pregnancy
- all contain soybean oil: if allergic to peanuts, do not take isotretinoin
- take WITH food
- may cause phototoxic reactions
- do not donate blood until off isotretinoin for at least 30 days
- causes hypertriglyceridemia, cheilitis, epistaxis, xeroderma: all approximately 90%
- use cautiously in pts. with psychiatric disorders
