lifestyle advice
A
adequate fluids limit caffeine and alcohol regular small meals reduced processed foods low FODMAP probiotic for 4 weeks

first line meds
A
loperamide for diarrhoea linaclotide antispasmodics eg buscopan TCA SSRIs CBT

what laxative to avoid?
A
lactulose as can cause bloating
