What are some drawbacks of satellite connection?
Is much more expensive than terristrial connection. There can be high latency with packets. They operate over “line of site” so weather and rainclouds can cause connectivity issues.

What is the fastest form of terristrial connection?
fiber
what is cable broadband?
brings internet to the home or business using the same cable that you would use for cable televison.
What is DOCSIS?
Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification. the standard for sending this data over a cable.
What is ADSL?
Asymmetric Digital Subcriber Line. DSL uses the existing telephone line in your home.
What is the common upstream and downstream speed of ADSL?
200 m/bits downstream and 20mbits upstream. The speeds are also dependent on your proximity to the CO.
What is WISP?
Wireless Internet Service Provider. although called wireless it is a terrerstrial connection. information is sent to local ground stations of the ISP.
What are some facts about WISP?
some will use meshed 802.11 for device connection, it might have 5G connection for the home or may use propriatary wireless tech. You will need an external antenna for it.
