Q

What are some ways to obtain a fixed IP address?

A
  1. disable the DHCP on the device and then configure IP information manually.
  2. configure IP reservation on the DHCP server. This means that we configure a MAC address of a specific device and tell our DHCP server every time it sees that MAC address, it will always provide it with this reserved IP address.
