treat: nystatin antifungal

prevent with scalp hygiene
treat: antiseborrheic shampoo (on scalp until crusts soften) rinse thoroughly - daily, use soft brush to remove softened crusts
ketoconazole 2 wk or steroid cream 1 wk

treat: flush area immediately with cold running water; wash clothing and pets
scratching doesnt spread but can cause secondary infection
