Department for Education
Standardised within the UK.
What are the different priority and condition ratings and what do they mean?
Condition Grade
A - Performing as intended
B - Performing as intended but exhibiting minor deterioration
C - Exhibiting major defects/not performing as intended
D - Life expired and/or serious risk of imminent failure
Priority Rating
4 - More than 5 years before remedial action
3 - Remedial action within 3-5 years
2 - Remedial action within 1-2 years
1 - Immediate remedial action

To inspect the property on its current condition and to advise the client to ensure the property remained operational until the completion of a new building.

What recommendations did you provide your client?
- Mineral felt patch repairs to the roof
- Clearing of debris and vegetation for guttering, hoppers and fall pipes
- Minor timber repairs to some external windows
- Resealing of the majority of the existing windows
