What are pathogens ?
Microorganisms that can cause disease , normally in bacteria and viruses
Bacteria ?
Some harmless as some live inside your body and reproduce
They produce toxins which is their waste from their chemical processes
The intoxins damage the cells in your tissues
Viruses ?
Not living creatures and do not reproduce
They reproduce by infecting host cells and making the cell make new viruses
How does a virus reproduce ?
Enters the cell
Viral DNA infected into cell
Viral components assembled
Bursts out of cell killing it
How are Diseases spread ?
Animals
Poor sanitation
Food infected
Air droplets
Sexual contact

Malaria ?
Caused by a pathogenic protist called plasmodium
It is spread by a mosquito
