HR : 80 - 110 bpm (always take for full minute. Don’t take radial pulse, actual heartbeat)

Oral stage (sucking brings comfort and relief from tension)
Sucking is important for kids through breastfeeding, what about if they have IV for fluid and nutrition?
Pacifier ensure need for sucking is satisfied

How does infant develop trust? Misconception about babies who are constantly picked up are spoiled?

Infants who are consistently picked up when they cry tend to have fewer crying episodes and less aggressive behaviour as toddlers

Essential for development of thought processes and perceptual abilities
