Q

What is the function of the enzyme topoisomerase?

A

Toposiomerases regulate the winding and underwinding of DNA - prevents too much tension which will evenntually stop further unwinding (rope)

Q

What is the role of DNA polymerases?

A

DNA polymerases made DNA by assembling DNA nucleotides.

DNA polymerases work in pairs to ‘read’ the template strand to create 2 new strands.

Q

What is the role of RNA primase?

A

RNA primase is the enzyme that is involved in making the RNA primer - DNA polymerase uses the RNA primer to initiate DNA replication
