Decrease hepatic function
What are the side effects of Fibrates?
Gallstones, diarrhea, epigastric pain, dyspepsia
Who should avoid Fibrates?
Patients with kidney and liver disease
What is Niacin used for?
Decreasing LDL, high triglycerides
Increasing HDL

Inhibit free fatty acids
What are the side effects of Niacin?
Skin flushing, pruritus, hepatotoxicity
