HYDRAULIC SYSTEM CBT Flashcards
How many hydraulic systems are there?
3 independent systems
What do the hydraulic systems power?
Flight Controls Spoilers Landing gear Nose wheel steering Wheel brakes Thrust reversers
What information is on the Hydraulic synoptic page?
Pressure
Temperature
Reservoir quantity
What is required if the reservoir quantity is CYAN?
It requires refilling
What is EDP 1/2?
Engine Driven Hydraulic Pump 1/2, are the primary pump for hydraulic system 1 or 2 respectively
What is the purpose of ACMP 1/2?
AC Motor Pump 1/2 is the primary backup to EDP 1/2 respectively.
On the MFD, what color are pumps when the are on/off?
Green when ON
White when OFF
What powers hydraulic system 3?
ACMP 3a is the primary and and ACMP 3b is the backup (in flight only)
What is the Hydraulic System Distribution Box on the Hydraulic Synoptic page?
Shows what hydraulic systems is powering a specific aircraft system.
What is a PTU?
Power Transfer Unit.
What is the purpose of the PTU?
To assist in landing gear extension in the event:
EDP 2 fails
Engine 2 fails
How does the PTU work?
By transferring the flow rate from EDP 1 and mechanically transferring the flow rate to the hydraulic fluid in system 2
Where does the Emergency/Parking Brake accumulator get its pressure from?
Stores pressure from System 1 and System 2
How many applications does the Emergency/parking brake accumulator provide?
6
When either Hydraulic EDP shutoff is pressed what happens?
Closes the Hydraulic SOV isolating the pump from the respective system. IT DOES NOT TURN OFF THE PUMP.
