What are the selected airspeeds?
Magenta- FMS speeds
Cyan- Manual airspeeds
Slip/skid indicator?
Slip-skid indicator
Dashes 10° increments
Triangle 45° bank
What does green dot indicate on the airspeed tape?
At least 1.3 over shaker speed.
Can be referenced as a minimum flying speed.
What is the FPA? What does it show?
Flight Path Angle
Shows where the current flight relative to the horizon.
What does the altitude trend vector indicate?
Where the altitude is predicted to be in 6 seconds.
What are the low speed awareness awareness tape?
Amber- Caution range
Red- Stick shaker activation speed (3-7%)
Pitch Limit Indicators
Green: OK for normal flight
Amber: Caution
Red: Red shaker activation
When does RA begin to display?
Within 2500’ AGL
For normal procedures, how should the Minimums be set?
BARO mins for all approaches except CAT II use RA.
What air temperature should we use for aircraft icing awareness?
TAT
What is the IRS and what does it provide information to?
Inertial Reference System, provide information to the attitude and heading for the PFD.
What will happen if an IRS fails?
It will automatically revert, if it doesn’t it can be reverted manually with the IRS reversion button.
When will the preview needles come on autmatically?
At 150 miles from destination.
What is the FPR, how do we use it?
Flight path reference, can be adjusted by moving FPA SEL knob.
What color is the FMS nav source?
Magenta
