Q

WHAT DO ENGINE START/STOP SELECTORS INDICATE?

A

STOP: COMMANDS FADEC TO SHUTDOWN (THRUST LEVER MUST BE IN IDLE)
RUN: NORMAL OPERATION
START: INITIATES START PROCEDURE, FUEL INTRODUCED AT 20% N2, WITH ITT LESS THAN 120C (MUST BE SELECTED FOR 2 SEC.)

17
Q

WHAT DO IGNITION SELECTOR KNOBS INDICATE?

A

OFF: DEACTIVATES IGNITION AND INHIBITS FUEL FLOW ON THE GROUND (FADEC IGNORES OFF IN FLIGHT)
ON: FADEC TURNS ON IGNITION WHEN ENGINE START ATTMEPT (7% N2 ONE IGNITER)/AUTO RE-LIGHT (BOTH IGNITERS)
OVRD:ENABLES FADEC TO ACTIVATE BOTH IGNITERS

18
Q

HOW DO THE THRUST LEVERS FUNCTION?

A

DIGITALLY THROUGH THE FADEC

19
Q

HOW DO THE THRUST REVERSERS WORK? HOW DO WE USE THEM?

A

BY DIRECTING BYPASS AIR SIDEWAYS AND SLIGHTLY FORWARD.

BY PULLING THE TRIGGERS ON THE THRUST LEVERS AND MOVING THEM TO REVERSE.

20
Q

WHEN USING THE THRUST REVERSERS, WHAT INDICATION WILL YOU RECIEVE?

A

GREEN “REV” BELOW N1
