What is contained in each lacteal?
A liquid called lymph
What are absorbed into the cells of the villus lining?
Fatty acids and glycerol
Where are fatty acids and glycerol absorbed?
The cells of the villus lining
What happens to fatty acids and glycerol when they are absorbed by the cells of the villus lining?
They re-form into fats
What are fats coated in when absorbed by the cells of the villus lining?
Proteins
Where do the fats coated in proteins pass into?

How are the fats transported?
By the lymph
Where does the lymph transport fats to?
The bloodstream in lymph vessels
What happens to the protein coat when fats enter the bloodstream?
The protein coat is dissolved in the blood and the fats are absorbed into cells
