Baseline bloods taken
When are follow up bloods taken?
A
HIV testing can be done a minimum 45 days after completion of the PEP course
If the 28-day PEP course is completed this is 73 days (~10.5 weeks) post-exposure.
For sexual exposure, to align with syphilis follow-up testing at week 12, the HIV test can be done at the same visit.
Baseline
6 weeks - do not test
12 weeks - HIV Ag/Ab, HBsAg, Anti-HCV, Syphilis screen
24 weeks - HBsAg/ Anti-HCV. Do not do HIV if negative at week 12
