A

The conditions were horrible. The people making them work did not care at all. Everything was pact together, they had to work super long hours, and the worked in a dirty environment.

A

Employers found it easy to use kids because they cannot stand up for themselves. This can make it easy to manipulate and exploit them.

A

People started hunting the buffalo and there Herds started to decrease in numbers. The Buffalo were very important to the Natives and caused the Natives to start attacking the westward settlers.

Describe life on Reservations

A

Life on reservations was horrible. The reservations were leftover land that nobody wanted. This means some of the reservations did not have whole lot of wild life or ground good for plants. Life was sad.

A

assimilation is when people are brought into society and start to resemble the group values, behaviors and beliefs.
Dawes-act - allows the president to break up reservation land and give it out.

A

It isolated the Native Americans and forced them to make a choice. They can stay and live on like they always have but on worse conditions or they can join the rest of society.

A

A

The Great Plains was wild and untaimed. There were many dangers especially the weather. On top of everything you would be very isolated from society due to how empty it was.
