- miracle babies at the time
- 5 sisters were born to a poor family in north bay
- born 2 month premature and weighed less then 14 lb combined
- quints eventually taken from family and placed under goverment guardianship and house in hospital called quint land
- attracted 3 million ppl to north bay during depression and gave rise to industry giving people jobs
- goverment made half a billion dollars off of them
- became biggest tourist attraction
- quints lives were tragic and described as a ‘circus’ by the sisters
