- some delays and difficulties; generally went smoothly
- after officials welcomed men handed in weapon and equipment, recieve discharge paper, transportation warrant 25 to purchase civilian clothing and a war service gravity which averaged 240.00

- some soildors felt measures were in adequate rewards for what they sacrifice
- economic recession led to more resentment
- many who returned had no jobs (old job taken or no longer available)
- professionals like doctors and lawyers practice disappear
- pay wages of soildors did not keep up
- > Canada jobs were getting paid more
- many vets felt hostile towards government/society
