Positive symptoms
A
Things you are observing, hearing about from the patient, noting things that present but typically are not normal

Symptoms and behaviours that should be there (normal) but may be absent

Process of history taking
A
Starts at doorway, observational - patient surroundings/behaviour/appearance, ask “what can we do for you today” - brings out chief complaint, determine a timeline of the symptoms
