Make up of mucosa?
- Epithelium - enterocytes
- Lamina propria- loose connective tissue + GALT
- Muscularis Mucosae- thin smooth muscle
Submucosa description?
Loose connective tissue, submucous plexa (part of the ENS)
Muscularis Externa?
Inner circular layer + outer longitudinal layer, myenteric plexus
Description of serosa/adventitia?`
Connective tissue
What is GALT?
Gut associated lymphoid tissue (part of immune system)
Where is the myenteric plexus?
Between two muscle layers
