Symptoms of hip pathology?
A
- Pain in the groin
- May radiate to knee (obturator nerve)
- Buttock pain
- Pure knee pain (espesh in SUFE)

What can groin pain also be due to?
A
- Hernia
- Tendonitis
- Pubic symphysis
- High lumbar disc prolapse

Signs of hip pathology?
A
- Reduced range of motion
- Loss of internal rotation (first sign)
- Pain may be exacerbated by rotational movements
- Trendellenburg sign positive and trendellenburg gait
- Shortening of lower limb

What does Trendellenburg positive/trendellenburg gait indicate?
A
abductor weakness (gluteus medius & minimus)

A
Severe OA Perthes SUFE AVN Fracture
