What is gluconeogenesis? Under what conditions does it occur? What is the result?
A
Gluconeogenesis is the formation of glucose from non-carbohydrate sources.
It occurs during stages of fasting, and mainly in the liver.
The end result is glucose or Glucose-6-phosphate.
