Gall Bladder Syndromes pathology Flashcards
Damp Heat in Gall Bladder
All due to damp heat.
Damp interferes with the smooth flow of Liver qi, stagnation of which causes distension and pain.
Nausea and vomiting are caused by dampness blocking the middle jiao and preventing St qi from descending.
Stools will be loose if dampness predominates and constipation if heat predominates.
Damp may reach the head via the GB channel causing dull headache,
dampness and heat may invade urinary system causing urinary symptoms.
Gall Bladder deficiency (deficient condition)
Symps are due to deficiency of Liv and GB qi.
GB represents the yang aspect of the Liver, and when the Gb is deficient it results in timidity and a lack of courage
Gb is responsible for decisiveness and so deficiency causes indecision
Dizziness Blurred vision, and floaters are due to deficiency of liv blood which is likely to accompany deficiency of qi in the Liver and GB
