One singular currency instead of multiple currencies.
Stamp act -
First Direct tax placed that England passed on 13 colonies. Placed on ALL PRINTED DOCUMENTS. (included paper, newspaper, books, magazines, bible, birth, marriage, death certificate, property titles, and playing cards) Taxed 1 cent up in cost. The point of it is to get money back into England to finance the empire.
