Typically begins as a benign infection that leads to widespread necrosis.

Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging which may show air along the fascia planes or deeper tissue involvement

How do you treat fourniers gangrene?

Answer 3

Aggressive surgical exploration and debris enemy.

Broad spectrum antibiotics.
Ertapenem. 1g IV q 24 hours
