Class B,C,D,E,F,G
Clouds - 1500m ahead/ 1000ft below
At/above FL100 8km of visibility
Below FL100 5km visibility
NO CLOUDS - At of below 3000ft AMSL (Above Mean Sea Level)
surface in sight
5km visibility
Semi circle rule -ICAO
The east - 000 to 179 degrees + even
The west 180 - 359 degrees + odds
Aircraft coming from either side wont crash
IFR - Up in 1000’s
VFR - Use 500ft levels
(In Madrid the semi circle line is vertical not horizontal as most flights come from the north to the south)

Instrument Flight Rules
Flight Plan and ATC clearance - Must file flight plan and get clearance from ATC
Compliance with ATC clearance and notified procedures - Pilots must follow ATC instructions/procedures
Position Reports - Pilots report the position, time/level of aircraft at certain points/times

Offered by ATC allows aircraft to operate in Control Zone below VMC (Visual Meteorological Conditions)
> Pilots follow rules from controller
> If in flight request SVFR if visibility is at least 1500m
Pilot > Must comply with ATC instructions > Reamin clear of clouds/see surface > keep 1500m visibility (800m in helicopters) > Max speed 140kt (Knots) > Not enter ATZ without permission > Fly within limitations of there license > Absolved of 1000ft rule
