- Produce the hormones and progesterone.
- Located in the upper pelvic cavity on either side of the uterus.

Fallopian Tubes

- Two oviducts that are attached to one end of the uterus.
- The fringe of the finger-like projections catch the ovum when ovulation occurs and propels the ovum down to the uterus.

- Located in the pelvic cavity between the rectum and the urinary bladder and can greatly expand to expand to accommodate a fetus.
- Where the fertilized egg is implanted and where the fetus develops during pregnancy.
