- don’t have to rely on others

- may be inaccurate
- some people cant interpret own movement
- can interpret wrongly so deteriorates

is external after a game and is how you performed and your quality of movement

- normally based on technique, fitness and tactical decisions
- detailed and focused
- needs lots of knowledge from experience

external and afterwards event or game and focuses on result or outcome

- see how much success occurred
- demotivating when results are bad
