Hemothorax
A
Blood in the pleural space.
Sources can be the chest wall, the lungs, the heart or great vessels, the diaphragm, or intra-abdominal organs.
Treatment involves drainage of blood from the pleural space, and controlling the bleeding.

A
Two or more ribs broken in two or more places.
Paradoxic motion of a portion of the chest wall as a result of rib or sternal fractures.
