A
An infection in the upper respiratory tract, which can include the nose, sinuses, pharynx or larynx.
This commonly includes tonsilitis, pharyngitis, sinusitis, otitis media, and the common cold.

Age <14 - 1 pt
Exudate or swelling of tonsils - 1 pt
Tender/swollen lymph nodes - 1 pt
Fever >38C - 1 pt
Cough absent - 1 pt
If above 2-3, consider doing rapid antigen strep testing and prescribing antibiotics.
